Tony DiTerlizzi’s fantastically imaginative new middle grade novel, The Search for WondLa, combines old-fashioned storytelling with a highly original twist. Baum, L. Frank. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (and other books in the Oz series). Follow the adventures of young Dorothy Gale and her dog, Toto, as their Kansas house is swept away by a cyclone and they find themselves in a strange land called Oz. (Several of the Oz tales exist in graphic novel form, also.)
Collins, Suzanne. Gregor the Overlander (Book One in The Underland Chronicles series).
